I finally caved and bought the Canon EOS R Mirrorless. Today and tomorrow are far too busy for me to do much with it, but I at least stepped outside and took five shots very quickly. I still have some learning to do, so I know I’ll be altering things in the menu once I read up and figure it out. Still, I think I’m going to like my new baby!
Below are shots #1-5, straight out of the camera. I’d obviously work on them a good amount (and wouldn’t even shoot them in this way if I had time to think about what I was doing: I just had to make sure the camera was working). It is a dark and rainy day, in case you were wondering. And yes, I shot handheld.
Unfortunately I have no time to do more: students and symphony call for today, and the dentist (getting even more royal) and more symphony tomorrow. I’m not complaining, mind you: I’m happy to be back to healthy me, and work is good!
(This one below is obviously far too dark. If I had time I’d play with it, but I don’t. It’s not a photo I’d print in any case, but I’d be curious to see what happens in post.)
Looks like that new camera will serve you well! Love the bird bath pic!
Thanks … and that’s the one I like the best of those as well. 🙂 I’m looking forward to next week, when I will be done with performances for a while and can work more with the camera.
