Such a Wonderful Trip!

As I mentioned in another post, I was able to go on a trip with some landscape photographers, and had a fabulous time.

Now I’m not the landscape photographer my friends are (I continue to try and learn), but I will share this because … well .. because I can! I’m so grateful to be able to tag along with these folks. What a wonderful, wonderful trip!

And Sometimes I Just Post an iPhone Photo …

…because that’s what I took!

Yes, I know better. Yes, I know I usually won’t be happy with an iPhone photo as a larger print. But it would make a fine card, and I did manage to print a 12×18 of an iPhone photo once and no one in my photo critique group could tell, so sometimes it DOES work.

From A Recent Trip

It takes me a very long time to go through photos I made after I get back from a trip. Sometimes, in fact, it takes years. I get home, download (or is that upload? I can never figure that out!) them, and then I seem to move on. It’s actually rather fun to then “discover” the photos a few years down the line.

But of course I always want to at least share something soon after a trip, so I worked on this image today. This was from the start of trip. We began in the Eastern Sierra, enjoying the colors of the season.

First Visit

I saw the Grand Canyon (North Rim) for the first time ever. But I have a fear of heights and I simply couldn’t go with Dan to see it from the edge there. Even from where I sat I was having issues. In addition, the wind was absolutely crazy. Turned out we drove all the way there, spent a few minutes looking, and headed back out because it was just too windy! Ah well … maybe I’ll get back there again sometime. It could happen.

This is just an iPhone shot: we didn’t even bother with our “real” cameras because of that darn wind!
