And Sometimes I Just Post an iPhone Photo …

…because that’s what I took!

Yes, I know better. Yes, I know I usually won’t be happy with an iPhone photo as a larger print. But it would make a fine card, and I did manage to print a 12×18 of an iPhone photo once and no one in my photo critique group could tell, so sometimes it DOES work.

Trees, Fog, And Green Things

This is from a recent trip up to see the redwoods and rhododendrons in Northern California. The rhododendrons weren’t exactly plentiful, but the trees were there so I spent some time attempting to make some photos of them. I’m not much of a landscape photographer: that’s Dan’s thing, after all. But I tried. And here is one attempt to capture them, with a bit of fog in the distance.

Testing an App

I was always bothered that my iPhone camera wouldn’t shoot in raw, and I’d read that the PureShot app was a good one, so I gave that a go on our trip last week. While a camera is still the best option (when I zoom in the detail isn’t great, the PureShot is definitely an improvement over the Apple camera option.

Looking Back

This time I’m looking back at the backpack trip I was able to take over a year ago, with some very wonderful people who also happen to be great photographers. I’m still ever so grateful that they allowed me to tag along that year.

We had weather on some days, and this was one of those days. I do love some rain, so when it came in I was pretty darn happy.
