First Shot
With my new “try to at least shoot one thing!” notion (which I will skip if it’s too windy), I worked with an interesting Bougainvillea today. I saw this one last year and wondered what kind it was … and I’m still wondering. It grows like a cone, very similar to Echium. I’m going to run it past a Facebook group today, as they have identified all but one flower I’ve put on their page.

I’ve decided to try and take at least one shot each time I go on a walk, wind permitting. This is today’s first shot. I only worked with this patch of Agapanthus today, but did take fourteen images. We’ll see if I like any more. First I must race to my studio to teach!

This is nothing spectacular, really, but I finally pulled my camera out. And that says something … I hope something positive about getting back to photography. Time will tell. (The last time I used the camera — albeit briefly — was June 22. I didn’t care for what I did that day, but I did hold on to the images because I tend to see different after a bit of waiting.)
