From Today’s Walk

After walking in New York in rather cold temps, today’s San Jose temperatures in the 50s felt mighty warm. It was so nice to get out on a walk, and I even managed to pull the camera out a few times.

Walking in New York I found very few flowers, and the ones I did find were in sad shape. Here in my neck ‘o the woods flowers bloom all year and I’m seeing some lovely ones. This shot, though, is of a succulent: I’m rather fond of Kalanchoe. I find the colors to be so lovely, and the shapes one finds are, at least to me, quite beautiful.

Another Day, Another Agave

As I wrote, the colors can vary greatly with the same plant, depending upon the light. Here’s another agave shot from the very same day, only minutes apart from the other I posted yesterday. (So what would you do if you were the photographer? Adjust all photos so the colors match? Accept that light changes the colors and leave them? Thoughts?)
