As I continue through 2017 images I came across a visit I took to SoCal to visit Kelsey & Mel (our daughter and son-in-law). Kelsey and I went to a spot in Newport Beach near Civic Center Park that had some amazing succulents and some of these are from that day. Then, on my way home, I had time to visit South Coast Botanic Garden before heading to the airport, so some are also from there. In any case, I have a series (so far, of SIXTEEN). Once again, I have to credit Kelsey for getting me interested in succulents.
At some point I might do a boxed card set (yes, of sixteen cards) … time will tell! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy these images. Click images to see them on their own in a larger size.

Good Afternoon!
And now we reach the final opera of the season. Yep, no more Opera San Jose until September.
I should have planned an after-opera party, I suppose. But then I’m not really a party girl, so I’ll just head home, get in my pjs, and relax.
Yep, that’s how I operate most of the time.

While I was not one to appreciate succulents in my younger days, I have grown to love these amazing plants. In some ways they seem like some sort of alien beings to me. But then I do have a rather vivid imagination!
