I’ve finally put together a new card collection. It’s been so long since I’ve done any, and I’d forgotten how much fun it is to work on and then print things up.

I’ve decided to feature some boxed card sets each morning until I’ve put them all up. I have quite a number, so sometimes I’ll feature only one more frequently I’ll share more than that, as I am doing today.
I love sending cards. Sometimes just to let people know I’m thinking of them: nothing like a card “pick me up” to brighten someone’s day. Have you sent someone special a card recently?
These boxed sets are also great gifts, and shopping here is pretty darn easy! I can ship to the purchaser’s address or directly to the gift recipient. (If you wish to have me do the latter I will also gift wrap for free if you request that.)
In case you can’t figure it out, today’s boxes feature a whole lot of red.
This first box is my Red Flora box. These can be used for a Christmas card collection or Valentine’s Day card, but of course can also work for other occasions as well. In addition, a boxed set of cards makes a lovely gift! Read more about these by going to the Red Flora page.

RED is … well … a whole lot of red! Again, great for Christmas, but who says you can only do reds for Christmas, right?

I think my Seeing Red collection was especially lovely … so many red roses!

And then there are the Red Poppies. An absolute fave of mine!

I have to thank friend and fellow oboist Adrienne Malley for titling this box! I had posted the images on a social media site and asked for ideas and she came up with the winning title.

For the Stellar Gallery show I decided I would make a couple of boxed card sets. There are more images at the show*, and those not featured in a box will be printed as individual cards, but I arranged these in such a way that I think there is a continuity I prefer to have with my sets.
Now that the show has opened, I can share these images here (I wanted to keep things a bit of a surprise until it opened.) and make them available to those who can’t make it to the gallery.
*Update: well, one image is NOT at the show after all, and some of these aren’t on the walls quite yet (I brought more images than we could hang). The one not in the show is the purple viola with the water drop: the frame was damaged! It is now redone and sitting here, but I can’t quite imagine making a 6 hour round-trip to deliver it to the gallery at the moment. Ah well! Maybe I’ll eventually end up shipping it there.

I have two new boxes of cards to share today: Green Cards — Set One, and Green Cards — Set Two

Set Two:

… and this may be it. I wanted flora in red, but didn’t want all of one kind. So here you go: a dahlia, camellia (with the name Yuletide!), begonia, rose, tulip, hibiscus, cyclamen, and anemone.
And yes, I have more reds to choose from. Collection #2, maybe? We’ll see

My card collections are always 8 cards. Always. Well … except when they are sixteen. But never nine. So how will I choose which of these to cut, I wonder? (No, I’m not saying you need to tell me: it really is a decision I have to make!)
Or maybe I should just have a special edition, nine card collection. Hmm.
In any case, it was fun to search on “Papaver” to find all these red poppies. I began all this because I was searching for images I could use for a new Christmas collection after posting the earlier poppy (in the center of this grouping … and possibly the weak link, really), but honestly I don’t think these work for Christmas. Still, I do like them, and they make pretty cards.
(I noted in the subject that these are the small card images. That’s because they are cropped for that size. Larger cards will show more of the original image, most likely. )
UPDATE: I’ve now printed 5×7 cards. To give you an idea of what the difference is (rather minimal, really, but do you notice it? I prefer these ones below.) between the crops, here are those images:
