Goodnight Flower
This is from the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. It’s a favorite spot of mine. I don’t think I really got much worth sharing this time, but here is my first shot. (And I might find, after letting the images sit for a while, that I find more I like: that frequently seems to happen!)

Goodnight Flower
Sometimes I look back at years past and find something I like that I’ve never posted. It’s especially fun when I can post from the same date, as I am doing here. Just two years ago, exactly.

I’m sorting through 2014 photos to delete the garbage and see if I find anything I really like that I didn’t notice before. (This shot is from today’s sorting work.) Frequently, in getting home from a walk, I download photos and have to race to start teaching and neglect to ever look at what I have. Silly, but true. Going through everything takes a great deal of time. I first click X on those I figure I’ll trash, but I then wait a week or so to make sure I’m certain there is no hope for them: sometimes I return and see something different. Still, one only needs one good shot of a flower and if I have, say, ten of the very same thing, there’s just no point in keeping them all. Funny how I feel guilty, though, deleting my “babies”. Call me crazy.
