Goodnight Flower
I never managed to get to a garden (botanical or otherwise), aside from the Tuileries in Paris, and it turned out I couldn’t get close to the flowers in that garden as they were fenced off. Thankfully there were flowers to be seen up close and personal in other areas on our trip, as I would have been sorely disappointed to not manage to get any! This was a flower I spotted while on a solo walk in Heidelberg.

The “All of It”
I rarely take what I call “all of it” photos when I’m working with flora. With this one, though, I wanted to get it all in case I needed help identifying it. I believe it’s a hibiscus and might even be “Rose of Sharon”. If any reader can confirm that I’d love to hear from you!
I did try getting closer, but this plant was on the other side of a cement wall that bordered someone’s property, and I’m not comfortable going over a wall, even while it would have been easy to get over. I’m not sure anything I shot as I leaned in as far as I could will satisfy me, but I’ll let those shots rest a bit: sometimes I see something in a shot a few days after I’ve done the work, when at first I don’t care for anything at all. (Other times it’s just the opposite though: the longer I wait and look, the less I like something!)
