Heidelberg is quite far away from Hamburg, about 5-6 hours by train, but is supposed to be a wonderful old town. Hamburg is very old, too. Our harbour is 826 years old!! Hamburg is very beautiful, has lots of parks, two big lakes in the centre with sailing boats etc. A bit like Vancouver. Heidelberg is really wonderful. I’d like to make it up to Hamburg too … I have a friend who lives up that way. Maybe in 2016 it can happen … we’ll see!
