These were spotted just off the side of Highway 1, up near Mendocino. I am guessing vetch, but I’m not certain.

Succulent Color
I just love the colors one finds with succulents. The greens run the gamut, but you also find pinks, golds, blues … well, nearly any color you can think of, really! I also am fascinated by the textures of these stunning plants.

My husband G Dan Mitchell and I are home from a sweet little four day trip to Mendocino. Sometimes these trips are full of photography. Alas, this one was more full of food (can’t complain about that!), friends (won’t complain about that, either) and driving, with very little camera work: I just didn’t find myself grabbing it all that much. Still, this is from the trip, when we took a short visit to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.
