I took a lovely 6 mile walk today, but for that majority of it I was fairly sure the camera would stay in the bag: there are days when I’m more interested in walking and less likely to use my camera.
Then I happened upon this rose.

I had a lovely ten mile walk today. My first goal (about four miles in) was to get to the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden since I hadn’t been in a while. I’m never sure what I’ll find there: some of the plants only bloom once a year, after all. While many were past their prime, there were some that were quite lovely. Here is the first rose shot of the day. (Not my “First Shot” as that was of a passion fruit: I hadn’t seen one before and wanted to get a record shot, but it isn’t good enough to share here.)
