A New Toy Friend

I’ve taken the new “baby” (or smaller sibling maybe?) Canon out and I really do like it. My wonderful “go to” macro lens works on it just fine, and it’ll be a good light travel camera for me. I guess I’m just not a Fujifilm girl. This new friend takes the smaller memory cards, just like my Fuji. Too bad I seem to have misplaced (lost?!) all but one of those. I had so many of them, but the little holder I had for them seems to have disappeared. Rats!

Here’s just a quick shot from today, as I was figuring things out. Nothing big, but still, I like this camera!

Goodnight Flower

While we were in Seattle I did VERY little with the camera. I only pulled it out, in fact, this morning when I had a few minutes alone.

I can now state quite plainly that I simply don’t work well with the Fujifilm X-E1. It’s a lovely little thing for travel, but it just doesn’t suit me. I’ve decided I will use something else for my lightweight travel camera. It’s sad to have spent so much on something that doesn’t fit me well, but such is life.

Here is one of the few shots I made. Out of focus is the norm for me with the darn thing, but I do love the dewdrops.

Soon we head out on a trip to NYC and, for the first time ever, I’ll get to post while we are away: we have house sitters! I’m really excited about this.

While this isn’t a great shot, it’s a Seattle shot, so here you go — my goodnight flower!
