I’ve been going back and forth between our summer pack trip in 2022 and our trip to the eastern Sierra and then Utah in 2021. I’m working hard on at least looking at all I’ve shot because, in all honesty, sometimes I get things into Lightroom and then neglect to even look at what I have!
This particular image is from the pack trip. I had taken an afternoon trek with a fellow backpacker in the group and while he was shooting a tarn, going around the entire thing, I spotted things like this. I find some of the rocks so interesting and, yes, beautiful. When I am having difficult with the huge landscapes, which is common for me, moving to the rocks sometimes works for me. Plus I think it’s good to photograph more than flowers.
