So one just decides, “I’ve had it being upright. I’m tired and I want to nap!” Or at least that’s how it looks.
I believe this is some sort of Cereus, but I just don’t know my cacti well enough to say for sure. I’m guessing someone out the can fill me in.

Amazing Colors
I am fascinated by this particular prickly pear. I’m pretty sure it’s Opuntia violate var. santa rita … or, if you prefer Purple prickly pear. Honest … the purples and pale greens … well … just look!
They are definitely prickly, though. It’s not the sharp needles, but the tiny little things (glochids, perhaps?) that are quite a nuisance. Believe me, they hurt! While I love them, I don’t think I’d grow them.
