Our Annual Tradition

Since 2018 Dan and I have sent out Christmas cards that include an image from each of us. I set it all up, and when I print I do half of the cards with his image on the front and half with mine (he insisted!). I absolutely love putting these together. I’ll bet you can guess who did which image.

Have you sent out your cards yet?

(Excuse the random lines around the cards … I guess I cropped things poorly from Lightroom and I’m feeling somewhat lazy at the moment so I don’t know when I’ll redo things!)

(When printing this card one image has to be upside down in order for them to present correctly, but I figured I’d turn them both right side up so you can see them.)

STAY TUNED!

First Visit

I saw the Grand Canyon (North Rim) for the first time ever. But I have a fear of heights and I simply couldn’t go with Dan to see it from the edge there. Even from where I sat I was having issues. In addition, the wind was absolutely crazy. Turned out we drove all the way there, spent a few minutes looking, and headed back out because it was just too windy! Ah well … maybe I’ll get back there again sometime. It could happen.

This is just an iPhone shot: we didn’t even bother with our “real” cameras because of that darn wind!

Running Late

Dan just posted a photo of the dunes, with a story about nearly missing the light and not getting out quite as far as he expected. I, on the other hand, didn’t even reach his location: I had gotten distracted by some brown-eyed primroses and so I was quite a distance away from him. But hey, I could see where he was and make this!

If you click on the link to Dan’s image above it won’t be the image he is making here: he is, instead, pointing the same direction I’m pointing. If I find the image he made in this shot I’ll link to it.

Happy Monday To You!

Who is this guy and what’s he doing in front of my trees?

Okay, maybe not mine … and yes, Dan is the landscape photographer in the house so it makes sense that he’d be shooting a landscape. What doesn’t make sense is that I shot this on the iPhone. But maybe I did that to send to our kids … I can’t remember! And of course placing him smack dab in the center of the image is a bit odd too … but there you go. Still, I’m posting it because I like this guy. A lot.
