Yep … another of Dan at work. Because. This time he’s a bit further away, but you can spot him, I’m sure!

Dan Doing What Dan Does
This is another image from our 2017 pack trip. I really like it, but because I (typical me!) didn’t use the tripod it isn’t one I could print very large. Still, I think Dan will enjoy it.
Reminder to self: the tripod, while cumbersome, is worth using.
Running Late
If you click on the link to Dan’s image above it won’t be the image he is making here: he is, instead, pointing the same direction I’m pointing. If I find the image he made in this shot I’ll link to it.
iPhone Desert Shots
There is nothing like finding a shot you really like, only to realize it’s an iPhone shot. This means it looks just fine at a small size, but no way can it be printed large. Trust me. Perhaps the next time we go to the desert I’ll keep that phone in my bag and use the better cameras more. I can dream …
Here is Dan on the Dunes. This is a photo that Dan actually processed, so I can’t claim it completely as my own. But it was my photo initially. On my phone. So I put a copyright on it but really that’s kind of a lie, right?

And the title of the one below speaks for itself. 😉
Here Comes The Sun
… and that photographer. Again.

When all else fails …
There are so many photos … there is so little time! I continue to move back and forth between earlier photos of 2018 and current things fresh off the card. I love being reminded of wonderful trips, and of course the newer work is fun because it’s just so … well … new!
This coming week brings busy non-photography events, so it’s doubtful I’ll post much aside from my goodnight flowers. Today, though, I went back to the desert with someone some readers might recognize.
When all else fails, I just shoot my husband!

Dan @ Work
I love being married to someone who has a passion for photography. I also love being able to take photographs of this master photographer. Here G Dan Mitchell is, doing what he does ever so well!
I posted an early quick version of this on Facebook and Google+ while we were still in the desert, but here is my “finally I’m in front of a screen I can work with!” version.

Working Together
When photographers get together to work this is how they might sometimes work “together”. Yesterday we met up with three friends and visited some birds in the central valley. The birds were much noisier than we human folk!
I am a person who likes to be alone, and socializing, while enjoyable, can really tire me out. Doing photography works very well for me, because even when we get together with others we go off and do our own thing so much of the time. Then we tend to get together for a lunch break, enjoying the company of friends, and later head back out to do more shooting.
I wonder if this is why my music career works so well for me also: while I am always working with a rather large group, we don’t chat much, and I’m “together but alone” in some ways.
Just pondering …
