Goodnight Flower

I wasn’t sure this was an Atrichoseris platyphylla (gravel ghost), but looking online at a site called “The American Southwest” site that identifies flowers, I guess it is. (I knew some others I had shot were, but I didn’t know that it had the red center. If I’m wrong, which would mean that site is wrong as well, please do fill me in!)

First Shot

It used to be that getting a walk every weekday was no big deal. For some reason this year has been different and more difficult for my daily excursions. I can’t even say why … as far as I can tell not much has changed in my life. But so it goes.

Today’s walk was short, but I ran into a number of iris blooming. This is merely a first shot and it’s doubtful I’ll deem it print-worthy, but I’m sure there will be more to post that will be getting put on paper when I have the time to look through what I made! As I say, though, “A first shot is a first shot and up it goes!”
