Succulents
… and yes, there is still beauty.
Every time I see succulents I think of our wonderful daughter Kelsey. She taught me to see them with different eyes, as I used to dislike them — probably only because I thought my mother didn’t care for them! The crazy thing is that I don’t even know that is how she felt for sure. I could very well have only made that assumption. Funny how that parental thing can go sometimes. But visiting Kelsey one year we saw them in San Diego and she pointed out how amazing they were (and are). Of course she was (and is) right! And I was hooked.
This particular shot is actually from last Thanksgiving weekend, and I made it with Kelsey standing right next to me. I look forward to seeing her and Mel very soon. We all need lots of very good hugs. We will get them.
