Surely this won’t appeal to all, but I was thinking of this particular image the other day, and I don’t think I ever shared it. So now I will. Because. (As you can see, it was from quite a while ago.)

the way I see the world
I’ll continue with this Looking Back series, since I currently am unable to look forward to an aspen trip this year. (But next year I am determined to go on one.)

Who is this guy and what’s he doing in front of my trees?
Okay, maybe not mine … and yes, Dan is the landscape photographer in the house so it makes sense that he’d be shooting a landscape. What doesn’t make sense is that I shot this on the iPhone. But maybe I did that to send to our kids … I can’t remember! And of course placing him smack dab in the center of the image is a bit odd too … but there you go. Still, I’m posting it because I like this guy. A lot.

Color. It’s a toughie sometimes. What the camera sees (frequently tends to be bluer than what I see: for instance, snow isn’t white most of the time, it’s blue! But we see it as white.) what we see (usually more yellow and often a bit brighter as well — perhaps because my eyes adjust to the shade?), and then remembering and processing a photo to what I believe I saw … it’s a challenge. But I think this is what I saw …?!
