Whew! I’m nearing the end of March 2016, which means I’m in the desert now. What fun to see all these desert photos: I think I nearly forgot about them when I got home, because I had to get right back to work. I see that I posted a few, but there are so many more that I’m enjoying. This one was just a fun thing to spot. At least for me. Can you see the bird? Maybe I’m just crazy …?

There is nothing spectacular about this shot, but I just liked the couple hugging, another walking, and the lone photographer. (Gee, I wonder who that photographer might be?!)

I love being married to someone who has a passion for photography. I also love being able to take photographs of this master photographer. Here G Dan Mitchell is, doing what he does ever so well!

I’ve not had much time to peruse my desert photography aside from looking at the flowers. I’m posting this as a first non-flora photo since I plan on posting a non-desert goodnight flower tonight.

Ah … finally managed to get Lightroom CC to behave and photos are now downloaded. Or is it uploaded? Or perhaps both? Hm.
In any case, this is the very first shot I made on our trip to Death Valley. I think it might be Malacothrix galabrata, but I’m not absolutely certain.
First Desert Flower Shot, 3.27.16
Dan and I were in the desert for a few days. I am always happy to go there, and it never ceases to amaze me. I look forward to getting back home so I can work on photos where I can actually see them: using a small laptop is difficult as I can’t focus on things well. (Odds are I’ll work more on these two, in fact, but I at least wanted to post something here!)

I enjoy looking back to see what I was doing one year ago. This is from a trip Dan and I took to Death Valley, and this was shot exactly one year ago, in the eight o’clock hour. I wish I was there right now. Dan is. I’m jealous.
