This has been sitting on my desktop for a while. I actually have a number of flower photos there that are just waiting to be shared. I guess I should start presenting them before I work on more: the poor things are probably feeling ignored! So here is tonight’s goodnight flower, which was made back on January 5.

Over on Google+ (the link takes you directly to my page on G+) there is something called “Floral Friday”. I used to participate every week, but these days I’ve been somewhat discombobulated (a word one has to use on occasion just because it’s so darn fun even while being discombobulated isn’t fun at all) and I’ve neglected that. Today, though, I am remembering that it is Friday (days seem to melt into one another and I can’t keep track) and I’m also remembering to post this flower. With it I greet any readers here as well. No drinking this week for me: I have symphony each evening and that means alcohol is a no-no. I can, however, post an alcoholic flower. 😉

This is from the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. I hear they had a huge “pruning party” this past Saturday, so I’m guessing the roses are gone for the winter. I will look forward to the spring!

Today’s five mile walk included this lovely rose that encouraged me to pull the camera out even before my two mile minimum. (I have a little “rule” that I try to follow, walking 30 minutes before pulling out the camera. I don’t succeed all that frequently!)
