Today is my daughter’s birthday. Yes, she was born on April 1st. (My mother thought my husband was making an April Fool’s joke when he called to say we’d had a girl, as I was so convinced that I was having a boy — mostly so I wouldn’t be disappointed, mind you — that mom bought a card for the birth of a boy!) Unfortunately we just had the run-of-the-mill birth while the girl in the bed next to mine gave birth in a truck (if I’m remembering correctly) so no TV crew for me. Go figure.
My daughter is the one who managed to get me to see succulents differently. I grew up thinking they were awful plants. (I suspect this was due to my mother not caring for them. Funny how that goes!)
Happy birthday, Kelsey! I hope you get to celebrate after your day at work. and I thank you for giving me new eyes. You’ve always had my heart.
