Not All Flowers …
I wish I knew more about the movie theater that had a kiosk with a cool bit of window decor (what does one call something like this, I wonder?), but I shot this back in 2013 and only now am I looking at some things from then. I’m slow that way. The movie theater is now “The Studio”, an indoor climbing facility. I’ve not been by recently, although it’s on the same street as the California Theatre where Opera San Jose and Symphony Silicon Valley perform. I wonder if this design work is even still there. I do hope so!
Galleries are a No-Show So Far
I’ve had every intention of setting up galleries here while I had some time off this summer. I wanted to have organized galleries that would allow a person to peruse all photos that I have deemed print worthy. (A good computer image does not necessarily a good print make, although a good print will make a good computer image … at least that’s how I see it.) Sadly it just never happened and I go back to opera in less than a month so we’ll see if I manage to get even one gallery up: I have found that using WordPress.com, which is different than the .org sites I have with oboeinsight and the pattyo (a site that very well might disappear), isn’t working quite as I had expected. I still have hopes, but who knows when I’ll manage to get things up and running.
Still, there are images here, and I hope readers enjoy what they see as I move far-too-slowly on this photo adventure.
For now, have a bit of some abstract green:
Before I Head To The Oboe Studio …
I thought I’d share a dahlia. I never grow weary of working with these flowers.
This is yet another from my visit to the Santa Cruz Mountains, when I was coaching some oboists from a wonderful local youth symphony. Again, not a flower that naturally grows in those mountains … but all together lovely!
