This little thing is frequently called a 4 o’clock flower. It was blooming at 10:45 AM. I’m just not sure what to think. Perhaps it’s just residing in a different time zone?

Such perfect weather for my walk today … 65° and, when I began, very little wind. Here is a little something I shot as I was nearing home. I’m pondering … it might be better in black and white. Time will tell, I suppose!

While we were in Mendocino we saw so much grandeur: the expanse of the ocean with its crashing waves, the cliffs, the never-ending sky and, driving further north, the beauty of a forest … sometimes the wonder of it all makes me gasp.
But there are the small things, too. This tiny rock caught my eye and I spent a very brief moment with it.
