Good morning, world! Today will be a rainwalk day, if the weather I’m reading truly happens, and I suspect it will. That’s just fine and dandy with me! I think I’ll walk over to my sister’s new place (how cool is it that she is still close enough I can walk, right?) and then see where else my feet take me.

Wedding Brain
Both of our sons are engaged, and I’ve been doing a lot of research on things like venues, caterers, photographers … the list goes on and on. In addition, we will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary come January. So yes, I have wedding brain.

Looking Closer
I love to look closely at plants, as I’m sure anyone who visits this site knows. Sometimes it’s especially fun to look closer at plants I’m not particularly fond of to begin with. Due to these investigations I’ve learned to appreciate Bird of Paradise plants as well as Cordyline. I think this is the stem of a Cordyline, but I do need to return to the spot to verify that, as I didn’t take an “all of it” shot. In any case, I thought it was lovely, and sort of looked like angel wings to me when I got up close and personal.

From Today’s Walk
I did a shorter, little four mile walk today, but it was lovely to see the clouds above, feel the slightly cooler air, and even find evidence of rain here and there.

There was a huge patch of these flowers which forced me to stop my walk and spend some time with them. They were lovely from a distance and lovely close up … so I captured them both ways, of course.
