Good Morning to You
Time to Sort
I really need to go through the past three (yes, three!) years of photos. I’ve been somewhat (as in almost entirely) negligent about deleting the garbage and even worse about putting in keywords so I can find things when I want them. I’ve spent over an hour searching for something. Well, sort of. In truth I started the search and then became distracted by images I’d find. Some bring back great memories. Others I puzzle over because I can’t figure out what I saw in the shot.
Then there are some that cause me to stop, work on, and post. Like this dull little thing. ๐

Goodnight Flower
Red Amaryllis (II), 12.10.14
Dan and I went with some friends to visit some birds today. It was great fun, but the 4:00 AM wake up time means we are mighty weary now. I was thinking I might post something from the trip, but I think I’d better wait and give the images the proper attention. Sometimes I post things far too quickly and a few days later I realize I don’t really care for the image. A goodnight flower will have to do for today.
2015 … Say WHAT?!
A blue morning glory for you, despite it not being morning and me not being blue. But blue seems to be a New Year’s celebratory color. So there you go.
Blue Morning Glory (I), 10.6.14
Where is the time going, and why do I feel as if I can’t keep up, I wonder? Time is a mystery to me. I’m fifty-eight. I feel like a kid. I was born in 1956. That doesn’t seem that long ago until I have to fill in some online form and I have to scroll down and down and down to reach that year! But hey, as I said, I feel like a kid. Some might say I act childish. So it goes.
But … 2015!?!? Wowzers.
Yes, I just wrote “Wowzers”.
Proof of my “kidness” maybe?

Saturday Morning And Just A Wee Bit Unfocussed
December Calla Lily (I), 12.24.14
… but not completely unfocussed. A very tiny bit of the spadix (the yellow part) and a bit more of the spathe (the white) on the right really is in focus. Promise.
I have a great love for the calla lily (Zantedeschia is the Latin). The lines, the simplicity of color. They just grab my eye any time I walk by them. I have, in fact, a series of six on my desktop, of which this is (as you can see) number one. But it doesn’t end there: yesterday’s walk brought more. I won’t bombard anyone with all of them at once, but I’ll be posting them in bits and pieces ….
