Water Drops on a Tulip, 4.1.23

the way I see the world
When I know I need to hunker down and practice I frequently end up cleaning the house. When I know I need to go out on a walk I spend far too much time on the computer! It’s funny, isn’t it, that when I get to them, I DO (usually) enjoy my practicing and walks. I guess it’s just the thought of them …? In any case, please enjoy my “procrastination photo”. Or don’t. You choose. I gave this a “title” rather than my typical “calling it what it is” bit just because, to me, it does feel as if I’m falling into the flower.

As I just wrote on Facebook:
Happy Monday everyone! Today I am thankful that Dan received his first vaccine yesterday, and my sister received hers the day before that. I’m also very thankful to continue to teach my students, despite only being able to give lessons via Zoom. (Fortunately the sound, for some unknown reason, has improved vastly since we began: I’m not sure why it changed, but it sure did.) I’m grateful for the cappuccino sitting in front of me, and I’m grateful for the flowers I am looking over from years that allowed me to wander more freely. I could go on … so much to give thanks for … but I’ll stop here. Feel free to comment about what you are grateful for!
Stay well. Stay safe! And here, have a flower for your morning …

It’s my weekend. Not one bit of work today, aside from house cleaning, of course! But first: a walk — and for as long as I like.
Meanwhile, please enjoy this shot from some years back. This was made on the morning of our 37th wedding anniversary. We were staying at a lovely little B&B near Mariposa.
I’m going over 2014 photos at the moment and running across some fun little shots.
