First Shot

This is, as always when titled as such, just a first shot. I tend to wait and think about these before I opt to try and print them. In this case it’s nearly 100% likely I wouldn’t turn this into a print. It’s only claim to fame, I fear, is being first.

Goodnight Flower

No drinking this week for me: I have symphony each evening and that means alcohol is a no-no. I can, however, post an alcoholic flower. 😉

This is from the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. I hear they had a huge “pruning party” this past Saturday, so I’m guessing the roses are gone for the winter. I will look forward to the spring!

First Shot

Today’s five mile walk included this lovely rose that encouraged me to pull the camera out even before my two mile minimum. (I have a little “rule” that I try to follow, walking 30 minutes before pulling out the camera. I don’t succeed all that frequently!)

Today’s walk was a wonderful eight mile trek to and from our Municipal Rose Garden. There are only a few blooms at this point, and so many of the plants look like they have a disease of some sort, but of course there’s always something to see! This is my first shot, and I may opt to crop it, but not yet. I have to decide on that. For now this will do!
