I had a nice, albeit a bit too warm, six mile walk today. I finally stopped to use the camera when I happened upon a flower garden I have seen for several years and look forward to visiting. This time the homeowner came out as I was shooting and we chatted a brief time. I could tell he felt the need to say that they sacrifice flushing toilets so they can water the garden: I suspect many of us feel the need to justify having gardens with the drought and I’m just guessing he wanted to be sure I knew they weren’t overusing water. Perhaps he even thought I’d report him. Who knows? Sad times when it comes to that sort of thing. In any case, this is the first shot and I have many more that I’m looking forward to viewing. I’m thinking I just might have a few keepers!
