In this case I felt that color only interfered with the flowers. So I am sharing this dogwood with you in monochrome. Now of course I’ve been known to change my mind, but I rather like this. I could warm it up a bit, but for now this is where it is and this is what I’m posting.

So one just decides, “I’ve had it being upright. I’m tired and I want to nap!” Or at least that’s how it looks.
I believe this is some sort of Cereus, but I just don’t know my cacti well enough to say for sure. I’m guessing someone out the can fill me in.

It seems only fitting to post some California poppies. These are from last year (you can see the date below). While some people are driving miles and miles to see amazing flowers, these were a walk away from my home. No, there weren’t as many as you’d find elsewhere, but I didn’t have to get in a car!
