  1. Your flower photography is always so beautiful! It has made me want to get out my extension tubes and take close ups of my flowers and others. It is my goal this summer to finally get my Canon 100mm/f 2.8L Maco lens, that i have wanted for years.

Your flower photography inspires me so much, I am glad you have a blog to share your inspirations with others.

Do you mind if I ask if what lens you use most of the time for your flower photography?

    Thanks, Mitchell

    1. Thank you very much, Mitchell! I’m so delighted that you enjoy my work. It brings me great joy to make, so knowing it also appeals to someone else is like frosting on the cake!

I use a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. It’s really my go-to lens: I have others, but if I’m on a walk it’s the one I MUST have with me!

  2. Good Morning and Thank you so much for the wonderful reply you sent. 🙂 I will ask you if you do not mind, is your 100mm/f 2.8 “L” lens or regular? I have had several photographers tell me they do their work with the non “L” lens and they had fantastic results but for those there are equally as many that swear by the “L” lens. I have a philosophy of, if the non “L” is will give nearly the same photographs as the “L” then it is nice to save the money, however if the “L” gives far superior photography then just save a little longer and go for the best. However I do not believe in spending hundreds for the non L just to trade up and spend another large sum to end up with the “L” lens. Just wait and end up spending hundreds less and get the better lens to begin with.

Like you I absolutely love macro floral photography, and your photography is so dynamically clear, and the colors so beautiful, I just had to ask. I do truly love your photography.

    Thanks so much Patricia,

    Mitchell

      1. Thanks so much Patricia, this really helps me so much, your pictures are always so crisp and clear. I always had amy aim on the “L” lens and really at least over here the price diff. is not that huge, about 200.00 I would rather go with the “L” lens and know I made the right choice. Thanks so much! 🙂
