From Yesterday’s Walk
Succulents are favorite subjects of mine. Both yesterday and today I had some fun with them. The weather was so perfect, and there are some very lovely plants nearby.
This is from yesterday’s walk.

From The Mendocino Coast
I spent my birthday weekend in Mendocino. It was so wonderful to be up there with Dan, and coming home wasn’t easy. I loved the stormy weather we encountered some of the time.
This is not a black and white photo. Really.

Party Time
Today is the day on which I always present a poem. No matter what.
The day’s arrived
(I couldn’t choose)
so now I’ll share
my bit of news:
It’s a new decade—
bet I’ll blunder!
I won’t cry
but only wonder
what’s in store,
how will this go,
now that I’m
a big SIX-OH!
I’ve always called zinnias “party flowers” because they look like they are having a big celebration in the center. Okay, maybe I’m just crazy! Or old. Or both. But here’s to celebrating, since I refuse to mourn this big number.
