the way I see the world
No drinking this week for me: I have symphony each evening and that means alcohol is a no-no. I can, however, post an alcoholic flower. 😉
This is from the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. I hear they had a huge “pruning party” this past Saturday, so I’m guessing the roses are gone for the winter. I will look forward to the spring!

Today’s five mile walk included this lovely rose that encouraged me to pull the camera out even before my two mile minimum. (I have a little “rule” that I try to follow, walking 30 minutes before pulling out the camera. I don’t succeed all that frequently!)

Continuing through 2014 photos, I’ve reached February 14. Dan and I took a trip to the Central Valley that day, and seeing photos from then certainly brings back lovely memories. This is a morning shot: the fog was starting to clear and the sun just coming up.
Magnolia Flowers, 1.24.14
My neighborhood has some wonderful magnolia trees. Some are pink, like this, and others are the white so frequently seen. We also have some that begin as a very deep purple. I’m still in February 2014, sorting photos, and I’m running across more I’ve never had time to even look at. It’s great fun to see and remember my walks.
